A great day at the Log Cabin

I live for the weekends when we can be up at our log cabin. Once we're there, I feel more alive and my spirit is nourished. It's easy to have a great day at the log cabin...

Watching the black squirrel jump from tree to tree to get closer to the bird feeders.

Standing on our deck, breathing in the fresh air.

Seeing the sunlight pour into our loft windows.

Watching my hubby enjoy his Christmas gift out on the lake.

And of course Marvin sunning himself in the log cabin. It's all good!

I wish we would have known in the beginning that we were moving our son's room from the front (over the kitchen) to the back.. we could have done something different w/ the window!

  3. I fall more in love with your home each time I see it.

I love the picture of the lake. We rarely get to see water that smooth. It is always windy here!

And I have never seen a black squirrel! Thanks for the pictures.

  6. I love the black squirrel! We only have red squirrels in KY.

Just to let you know, Stephen King's book, Everything's Eventual is not a new book - it was released in 2002. You should be able to find it at the library.

  14. We had one of those black squirrels visiting our feeders much of last fall and into the winter. Then in February he disappeared. I figure he stood out too clearly against the white of the snow and that spelled his end.
