Tomorrow's Wedding Anniversary

Tomorrow - October 28th - is our 3 year wedding anniversary! That is our wedding cake pictured above that Greg's aunt made for us. Our reception was at a log cabin on the grounds of a country club. That place was so perfect - the chinked walls, stone fireplace - we couldn't wait till we had our own log cabin back then. Greg asked me what I would like for our anniversary - did I want that digiscope for my camera? Jewelry? What?

I told him I would like to spend a long week together at our log cabin. And so my loving husband has obliged me. We leave this Friday and I'm already planning our days. Hiking, maybe some kayaking, hitting a Christmas craft show or two, have some friends visit and of course Greg's favorite - gathering rocks in his ATV - ha!

I can't wait till Friday! (Love you honey!)

Sounds incredibly wonderful! In Estes Park, CO ouside of Rocky Mountain NP, there is a place called Rockmont Cottages. Their "Rocky Ridge" cabin is one of our favorite places to stay! One year, Dave had his Haz-Mat training in CO and I flew up to be with him when it was over. We spent a couple of days there, enjoying the snowfalling outside, the elk, the fireplace and in the daytime, going into the park. It was absolutely heavenly! I KNOW you'll enjoy yourselves thoroughly while you are in your OWN place!

    Happy Anniversary!

  3. Well happy anniversary to you and Greg. You have a little bit to catch up to myself and Mrs74. We will be celebrating our 30th in March.

But no matter what the number is, the important thing is to keep it fresh. Unwrap every day as a gift as you get it. Remember today is called the present.

  4. What a beautiful cake. I'll bet that you'll have a great anniversary at the cabin. My husband will be 44 tomorrow, on the 28th. We are going to the bowels of the area tomorrow to the Auburn Cafe for dinner. It's right on the border of River Rouge and Ecorse. He wanted lamb chops and their's are the best.
