Is it Friday yet?

I am counting the hours till we leave for our log cabin tomorrow! This weekend, Gaylord is having an Oktoberfest and we have invited some friends to come up. I'm hoping the weather holds up as I'd like to do a little kayaking.

Here's Greg kayaking. His kayak is different from mine in the fact that it is set up for a fisherman with all these gadgets. We both love to fly fish.

  1. I never knew you were a fly fisherman! That takes a lot of skill and patience.

  13. I would love to learn to fly fish. I heard that there is a real science to learning it correctly. But, I know I could learn any new thing in the setting that you two experience. What a beautiful picture of the quiet, peace and serenity. Hope you both have a fun weekend.

  16. I have never kayaked, have been afraid to do it, but I think that is going to be my goal next summer.
And the fact that you fly fish?? Well, gosh woman, are you SURE you weren't born a YOOPER? I don't fly fish (my hubby does) but I love to fish.
You must be coordinated to fly fish..I get the line all tangled up in the trees beside the streams, so gave it up. ha
