When I was a little girl, dragonflies used to scare me. If they landed on me, I would go screaming bloody murder to my mother. Now I pursue them and try to examine all their detail....go figure!
Love these macros..you know if the dragonflies landed on you as a kid, that was a good omen..they say if they land on you, you'll have good luck and that you are a very blessed person!
Great shots Shelley. I remember being afraid of dragonflies when I was younger too. And now I do the same thing, hunting them down to try and capture an image of them. It is funny how our interests change over time.
My oldest daughter is scared of butterflies, of all things. I remember when were young catching dragon flies for bait. I can't imagine doing that now. Bees are my big fear. Loved your close-up photos. Blessings, Marcia

Lovely photographs. I also feared dragonflies when I was a girl. I'd grab a lizard, but ran just like you from dragonflies.
