I am counting the hours till we leave for our log cabin tomorrow! This weekend, Gaylord is having an Oktoberfest and we have invited some friends to come up. I'm hoping the weather holds up as I'd like to do a little kayaking.
Here's Greg kayaking. His kayak is different from mine in the fact that it is set up for a fisherman with all these gadgets. We both love to fly fish.

Scout's Playdate
Scout recently had a playdate with her siblings and some of the adult dogs owned by our breeder. She had a great time running around with all the other puppies at the park. Afterwards, I had a chance to reflect on a couple things:
- Scout is too babied. She kept checking back in with me every 5 minutes. The other puppies could've cared less where their owners were. They were busy running away and getting into things they shouldn't. (I must be a better mommy - ha!)
- Scout and her brother Yogi were the nicest pups. (I say this because Scout and Yogi were the only puppies not biting.)
- Scout has the smallest head. I keep thinking of that movie Beetlejuice. (Know what I'm talking about - the guy w/ the shrunken head?)
Anyways, here's a slide video I put together of her day. And yes, I love my Scout WAY TOO MUCH!

A little fall decorating and more elk
I've started to do a little fall decorating at the log cabin. I have to hit up Garden Ridge, Kohls and the local Farmers Market for more supplies.
I put a few pumpkins on top of the kitchen cupboards to keep all my birds company.
I had promised you some photos of Greg feeding the elk. Look how excited these ladies are!
I think they were developing a crush on him - I told them to back off! (They kept following him along the fence line even when he didn't have food...)
Besides, their boyfriend looked a little tough if you ask me....
