Chipmunk in Charge

This red squirrel waited patiently for the chipmunk to finish eating at one of our deck feeders. Usually they are aggressive so I was surprised this one was being so polite.

It's going to be a busy week. I have 2 birthdays, a baby shower and sadly a funeral (one of my best friend's father passed away.) I'll be by to visit you soon my friends!

Shelley, My prayers, first, for the loss of your friends Dad...you will comfort her by being there for her.
As for the little piggies in the feeders, I have them too and they sure can pack it away, can't they?
Your feeder with the row of birds is so cute...

Sorry about your friend's parent passing away...it is never easy to witness that.
Those dang Chipmunks here eat all our birdseed...I USED to like them. ha
The neighbor has "gotten rid of" all the squirrels in our area, but now we are run over by Chippies! Sigh!

Great photos, Shelley! That second one looks like he's ready to do some boxing. :-)

Hi Shelley, I have never seen the word POLITE and SQUIRREL in the same sentence... ha ha ha... Want some of my squirrels??? You could train them to be polite. Okay????

Sounds like you have a busy week...

Thinking about you.
Hugs,
Betsy

I've never seen a polite squirrel before, but piggy chipmunks are quite common.

I'm not a fan of squirrels, but that chipmunk is cute. We don't have any down here!

Thanks for stopping by my place!

I never get tired of watching Gods creatures. I saw a yellow lab trying his best to catch a chipmunk while we were camping the other day..it was hilarious watching those two romping.

It's chipmunk season here too. I've wondered what would happen if a squirrel tried to invade our "Chipmunk Hotel".; I sure wouldn't anticipate one waiting so patiently!

It hurts so much when your good friend loses a dad. I will never forget the love and kindness I was shown by my dear friends, when my dad died suddenly. I am sure you blessed her life in a special way by being there to support her. You sure did have a busy week with roller coaster emotions. It seems difficult to attend parties and a funeral in the same week. Thinking of you as you faced all of it.

Once again, your photography contains the "wow" factor.
