I think Marvin lets Scout think he is King of the Cabin, but we know who it really is. Today our (mow actually Mom's) cat had a play date with the neighbors cat. He has been a "single" cat for over twelve years. I think he enjoyed the new experience. But of course he loves Mom doting on his every need every minute. - Margy
Lol, I love these photos. My mom told me cats are always king. We've seen our cat chase large dogs off the street. I remember someone once saying that dogs follow us around saying "Master, Master", and cats don't follow us except to say "Serve me, Serve me". Scout just doesn't know his own power, and Marvin has no intention of letting him find out :-) Blessings, Marcia
How is it possible that you are gifted in photography and captions? What a gift! I find myself visiting here because I really like your gifts. The captions are perfect with these pictures!!! I just hope no one ever shares a picture of me and asks the question if they are feeding me too much?...poor Marvin!
Accccck! Shelley I LOVE seeing Marvin. Marvin drew me to your blog. I thought, well that lady holding that big ol cabin cat just has to be a very nice lady!
Answers to questions: #1. No, you aren't feeding him too much. Marvin just might be enjoying a little too much Kingly couch time.
#2. Marvin is definitely, without any bit of a doubt and not one thought of guilt daydreaming about buying that Scout Girl a one-way ticket to somewhere. For sure, no doubt about it.
No. He's perfect! The ticket FOR SURE! But then he'd be so bored he wouldn't know what the heck to do with himself! Uhhhh . . . . (sorry Scout) Marvin would be King. Just tell Scout's she is the QUeen and all will be well.
Awww, hi Marvin - long time no see! I love how he's curled up on the couch! Here's an odd question for you, though... nothing to do with the animals: Where did you guys get the flooring for the cabin? We're in the process of building a studio/guest house, and that's the kind of flooring I think I would like to install. -Heather (of the Hills)
I think the answer is "yes" to all three. :) They look like wonderful, happy pets Shelly and I am sure they love the cabin as much as you do but will their rivalry end? No, not as long as they both have to clamour for your attention. :)
Hi Heather, our builder got the pre-finished Maple floor left over from a friend's project in the Upper Peninsula. If I talk to our builder this weekend, I'll ask him what his friend got it from. We got a great deal!

I think Marvin is just the right size, daydreaming of a one way ticket for Scout, and he is indeed KING MARVIN!
Now that one is easy, it's like Mildred said (Marvin) rules. LOL

Dogs rule! But cats seem to always get their way. ha.
Marvin probably thinks you don't feed him enough. But there is no doubt as to who is King of the Cabin.
