Christmas is coming to the cabin...
Gosh, it feels like ages since I've posted. To give you a quick run down.....changed jobs, registered for classes, been playing with my niece, had a bad root canal (which has left me with nightmares of my dentist) and joined the Board of Directors at the Michigan Audubon Society. How's that for busy?
I've started to decorate the log cabin for Christmas, just need to do the outside. I'll post some photos when we head up there next weekend. I can't tell you how much I daydream when I'm in my car (or at work, ha,ha!) and think about being at the cabin, snow on the ground, birds at my feeders, warm kitty on my lap, fluffy dog at my feet, hot chocolate in my hand and having my neighbors caroling outside my door. Okay...we know that's not going to happen......but really, don't you think they can at least sing to me?

If I could be your fairy Godmother I'd make it happen sweetie. Love the photos!
Oh I love your cabin, especially when decorated for Christmas. I think I might faint if my neighbors came caroling too!
Love to you and yours this blessed season.
I would love to sing to you, but I have my hands full of hot cocoa a cat on my lap and a dog on my feeties. :)
Have a great weekend!!!!
Hi Shelley, Your decorations are gorgeous.... Glad you are getting some special time at the log cabin--even when you are extremely busy...
How much more school do you have? Are you working in your area of expertise????
Glad you are on the Board of Directors now....
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
And the whole time... you're in your tweety pj's... or was it snoopy? heheheee =)
Beautiful display w/ the greenery & all the lights & the nutcrackers & I STILL LOVE THAT CLOCK!!! =)
I was just checking your blogs yesterday and wondering how you have been. Now I know, BUSY! I'm sure your neighbors are looking forward to seeing you in your pj's at the cabin, tee hee..
I can't wait to see what Christmas at the cabin will look like. Its going to be beautiful I am sure. If I lived close, I would come singing carols for you! :)
I hope you have a great weekend!
*hugs*

The decorating is gorgeous!
You changed jobs? Wow, so what are you doing now, and do you like it?
If you remember, I choose to have a tooth pulled instead of having a root canal, and I always have nightmares of my dentist!
Joining the Board of Directors at the Michigan Audubon Society is VERY cool!
Glad you are back with us so we can have peek at your cabin. Sometime life is to busy
You sure have been busy...been there myself many times! Your decorations sure look pretty, Shelley...keep those pictures coming!
Oh wow, Shelley..where are you working now? and to be asked to be on the Michigan Board for Audobon?? Congratulations..what an honor! But I know of NOONE who will enjoy that more or deserve it more!!
You are one busy gal. Grab a hot chocolate and enjoy the view while you are visiting your cabin.
Your decorating would fit just fine at my log cabin. I long to be there.

I definitely think your neighbors should sing to you!! :D
I'm so sorry to hear of the bad experience with the dentist. I hope it is all behind you now.
Hope your daydreams all come true! Have a good weekend, Shelley! :)

day dreaming is a great way to pass the time.. not sure you would want to hear those neighbors (o:
You have just described the perfect Holiday dream!
Well maybe not the singing neighbors.

I think that carolers are definitely in order this year! I'd come carol at your cabin, but it would be a Christmas nightmare for sure.
Hugs,
Cathie
You definitely have been busy (sorry to hear about the bad root canal). But if this picture is any indication your cabin is looking beautiful for Christmas. And who knows, perhaps this is the year the neighbors will come caroling.
You are a busy gal!! I love how you decorate the cabin. Have fun.
So lovely. I love Christmas at your cabin!
Oh my! You have been busy!
You are so blessed to have this cabin to retreat too. Love the photo. Happy holidays to you.
Believe it or not, I sometimes dream of Christmas at your cabin too. I look forward to every single picture that you share with us. I remember last Christmas and the pictures that you shared...so beautiful, so cozy, so inviting...just like Christmas should be. I can't make the caroling wish come true, but I sure would if I could. Sounds like you deserve a long life break...maybe you'll get snowed in at the cabin:)
Well if and when it does get to the cabin, we won't know about it since we still haven't heard anything about Thanksgiving. Not complaining "hard" just "gentle" - since I became so addicted to your blog that when you cut us all down to one post every 2-3 weeks, and not actually even a post, simply a picture with a line or two - well its hard withdrawing from your peaceful cabin and happy family....
I added myself to follow your blog. You are more than welcome to visit mine and become a follower if you want to.
God Bless You :-)
~Ron
