Good day for relaxing at the Log Cabin

Today was just a great day to relax at the Log Cabin. Had a simple meal and some wine out on the deck while looking out at the lake. There was a nice breeze in the air. The grosbeak was posing for us. The cat was enjoying the sunshine.

And all log cabin projects were put on hold today. Just a good day to relax....

Yeah for you! You deserved it. It looks like you had the perfect weather to enjoy your deck too!

Bobbi - it definitely was!

Jess -sorry! Come on over!

Reliv - it's a male rose-breasted grosbeak - they are very friendly birds.

Jen - thank you! Tomorrow is a good day to pick up the caulk gun for the 20 other projects!

How relaxing does that look, VERY.

Nice table on the deck.

A day relaxing like this makes you realize what all the hard work is about. You have to stop and smell the roases to appreciate all the work--and scratches from the thorns--that went into the planting

Shelley...

I found your Blog over at LogHome.com on the forum site. It's a wonderful blog...

We are currently building our own log home. I do have a blog, but it's nowhere as professional looking as yours.

So much of what you've written mimics our own thoughts on log home ownership. I may be a "baby boomer" now, yet this is our second time building a log home, and I assure you 30 years ago we sounded just like you (the nature lover.)

I've bookmarked your blog and look forward to following it closely. We have only reached the point where the roof will be going on. The dormers are not completed yet and naturally nothing has been done on the interior.

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed reading the blog!

I see your kitty has made the decision about what you will be using your windowsill space for!

looks like your kitty is enjoying those large window ledges just as much as you are! and your eating area on the porch looks great!

Rick & Dianne - thank you for visiting - I enjoyed your blog too!

Jennifer - the kitty has definitely claimed it!

Kelly - he sure is - and likes to knock down the things I put up there!
