Look who's holding the puppy....

...and it's not me!

The puppy played it perfectly. Snuggled against Greg. Gave him those puppy dog eyes. And then she licked him. He was a goner. This was almost too easy......(just kidding honey if you're reading this!)

*The breeder ended up having a girl available and we will get to take her home at the end of June. She is 4 weeks old and just under 4 pounds. Hmmm....should I send out baby announcements?? :-)

Guess who I'm visiting today!

I'll give you a little hint - please click here and scroll down to see my little friends on the left side. I'll be back later to post some photos.....

Cabin in the wilderness

Doesn't it look like our log cabin is in the deep wilderness in this photo?? I love all the greenery but I think we need to trim some things up.

That path down to the lake is very steep. I found this out as I was walking down toward our partially completed dock and then tripped, fell and rolled down the path almost impaling myself on one of Greg's dock stakes! It wasn't pretty!

This is the chipmunk that was laughing at me as I was pulling leaves out of my hair. One least the neighbors couldn't see me....YET! Ha,ha!

Progress on the dock

With a little help from his brother and cousin, Greg was able to make more progress on our dock at the log cabin. I'm looking forward to being able to launch my kayak from here instead of driving around to the public launch. (We don't have kayak racks - we just throw them in the back of our SUV and we hang on to the handles while we're driving so they don't slip out. Seriously. I'm surprised we haven't been pulled over!)

Come take a look....

Greg needs to straighten the dock out next weekend and still has one more dock footing to put in.

Here's the Red-winged Blackbird singing to us along the lake path. They love to hang out in the reeds by the lake and sing CONSTANTLY! Geez, I hope they hurry up and get some mates already!

Here we are standing on a completed section of the dock. Look - a better view in which to spy on my neighbors! Ha,ha!

Look what I found!

I found my beloved Loon pair this morning! I just had to share this with you today. I kayaked all over a 230 acre lake in order to find these two. It was worth every moment.

Hope you are all having a sunshine filled weekend!
