Come visit our log cabin

It was clear and sunny up at our log cabin this weekend. We had a great time with my sister and my brother-in-law. We had a whole host of visitors....

Female Grosbeak

Mr. Chipmunk hosting the birds at the birdfeeder....

The chickadee and housefinch having their own social gathering....

"Hey sis! Watch out for the snapping turtles!!!"
P.S. She wasn't fazed.

I love how the bird come right onto your deck. Do you have feeders close by?

Jess - I have feeders in the trees close by & 1 feeder on top of the log post but think I need to move it due to the bird poop! P.S. - I tried waving a white tshirt on my lake this weekend for the loons but no luck. I'll try the neighboring lake next week when I know the loons are definitely there. HOpefully people don't think I'm crazy! :-)

Glad you all had a good time.
Is your sister shy? She has her back to us.

You have great birdwatching in Michigan! My sister and I just came back from a vacation -- aren't sisters just the best?

great pics, yes bird poop on the deck is a problem - no worries, when waving the white tshirt they will probably think you are crazy - just go with it, it is more fun that way! What did your sister think of the house?

Sandy - I introduced sis to kayaking & she loved it!

Observant Jen - yes! P.S. you are starting to scare me! :-)

Violet - they certainly are!

Reliv- she loved the log cabin! I was glad!

You certainly do take wonderful pictures. You must have an awesome camera! The chipmunk is adorable. I have one who lives under my store, and he keeps popping up here and there. Sounds like you had a fun weekend. Only one more day until the next one!
