Bird Symphony

Morning is one of the best times at the log cabin. The birds are the most active at this time of day in visiting the feeders and singing their morning songs. One morning it sounded like a symphony. I could hear the Red Winged Blackbird with its baritone song, the Chickadee singing "fee bee" which mean's "this is my territory", the Goldfinches with their sweet little "zweet", and the Loons with their beautiful haunting call across the lake.

The Chickadee voices his approval on the peanuts...

A Bald Eagle flies over the lake in search of fish for breakfast....

And the geese are honking their pleasure at gathering around together.

Isn't it great to enjoy those early morning times out in nature? I am so glad the season is back when I can take my coffee out on the deck and talk to the mountains and listen to the birds! What a nice shot of your cabin from across the lake!

So beautiful! I love being outside here in the mountains in the mornings and evenings. The birds sound so sweet. Of course now we can't keep our feeder out in the spring/summer because of the BEAR!
Hugs,
Penny

Hey Shell...been a long time since I've had the time to sit back and comment! I've been stopping by and totally enjoying your posts just haven't had the time to tell you (once again) how great your blog is!

I really enjoyed the shots you posted from back during construction and the "early days". I really love how your cabin has come to life since then. And all your bird and wildlife photos are magnificent.

Just letting you know I'm still around and still enjoying your daily posts, just not finding lots of time to comment!

Guess it's never truly "quiet" at the cabin, what with all the birdsong you must hear all the time! LOL

It is so neat that you have an eagle that visits you so close and so often and that you can capture him so beautifully on camera. Your cabin is gorgeous and looks so neat nestled in by your little lake.
Heaven!!
