Things I never tire of at the log cabin...

Some of the things I never tire of at the log cabin....

Kayaking on a calm lake...

Seeing my favorite Loons and hearing their haunting calls....

Humilating my animals by putting them in a ridiculous dress and entering them into a doggy parade......but that's another story....

We have not been canoeing or kayaking yet this year. The hubby's too busy. We are lucky to just get away for a couple days.

Scout is wonderfully cute as always.

Look at that water and how clear it is!
I hope Scout won a prize in her pretty dress!
Have a great Monday,

The view from your kayak is always a treat-the water is so clear and clean. Beautiful. I see the loon chick is being watched over and protected well by the parent Loons. Great picture. And that face on Scout is way too cute! I see a fun blog entry about a puppy in a parade....:)

What a beautiful peaceful place! It reminds me of the lake where my father built our family cottage when I was growing up..loons and all!

(Oh, and your beautiful puppy is growing so fast! What a gorgeous little doll!)

I think she likes getting dressed up...a wise dog never tires of attention even if its funny attention at times.

Oh poor Scout!

I see that Marvin didn't let you dress him! Cats are much more dignified than dogs. Dogs just want to please their owners and cats just flat out, don't care! Ha Ha!

I wouldn't tire of the relaxing scenery up at your little cabin paradise either!

You are very similar to my teenage daughters..they also think Dogs should dress up for a parade!!! ;)

I am sure kayaking is wonderful. I have only been in a canoe and that is nice. You must have had to carry the puppy in the parade. Next year it she can pull you (o:

I don't think Scout looks humiliated...she looks content! :)

I have never kayaked before, but I'd love too. I've been canoeing before though. I can see where you would love kayaking on that calm lake!

Have a great week, Shelley!

Hi! I have missed your Scout posts! Look how fast she is growing! Love all the pics.

Scout is growing up so fast and I love his expression. It seems like just yesterday that he was a puppy and now he is starting to look like a grownup. I'm sure he still acts like a puppy though. :>)

But today Im back, I leanred how to replace a modem over the weekend...not too hard for a country girl to do!

I'm glad you never tire of these things at the cabin, but I suspect Scout may tire of being dressed up. She is really growing.

The lake looks so smooth and clear as glass. Can't believe Scout is already getting more grown-up looking in her face.

Great photos and I'd never tire of those things either. Love Scout all dressed up too!

Dressing up Scout???? Poor baby!

Just a little something from Judy said...

I don't think Scout needs to dress up for the parade...her face is cute enough to steal the judge's hearts. Those are more exceptional photos.

I really like the photo of you kayaking. I've been kayaking only once but would like to try again. Scout is a cutie - she looks like my parents aussie shepherd when she was little. Did she win a prize in the parade for being such a diva?

My favorite thing about when I go out on the lake to fish is the Loons and their cries... it literally sends chills up my spines. I absolutely love it...
