Is it Friday yet?

I am counting the hours till we leave for our log cabin tomorrow! This weekend, Gaylord is having an Oktoberfest and we have invited some friends to come up. I'm hoping the weather holds up as I'd like to do a little kayaking.

Here's Greg kayaking. His kayak is different from mine in the fact that it is set up for a fisherman with all these gadgets. We both love to fly fish.

I never knew you were a fly fisherman! That takes a lot of skill and patience.

Hi Shelley, I'm sure those times at the log cabin these days is VERY special. Hope you enjoy your company and get to kayak/fish...

Hopefully you will see more color up there this week. Can't wait to see pictures.
Hugs,
Betsy

My husband flyfishes...I have never tried it. That looks like a wonderful place to be, whether fishing or just enjoying the outdoors.

I would love to learn to fly fish. I heard that there is a real science to learning it correctly. But, I know I could learn any new thing in the setting that you two experience. What a beautiful picture of the quiet, peace and serenity. Hope you both have a fun weekend.

I have never kayaked, have been afraid to do it, but I think that is going to be my goal next summer.
And the fact that you fly fish?? Well, gosh woman, are you SURE you weren't born a YOOPER? I don't fly fish (my hubby does) but I love to fish.
You must be coordinated to fly fish..I get the line all tangled up in the trees beside the streams, so gave it up. ha
