Signs of Winter

I think my first snowflakes are on their way to the cabin soon. How do I know? Well my squirrels have been gorging themselves on my suet feeders and I had a little junco visit me too. I do love snow (like you Betsy!)

I'm getting excited for the Christmas festival that's coming to our town - that's when they'll light the Christmas tree. And of course I'm ready to break out my skis and snowshoes. I think the reason I love winter is because of all the activities I find to do. (Though check w/ me in February, at that point I'm ready to go to Florida.)

School is going well - I have a test to take this Saturday and then another test next week. Then I can enjoy the Thanksgiving weekend. School has changed so much since I last attended. I can't tell you how many students wear PAJAMA pants to class. Really - Pjs are appropriate school wear?? Must be a fad....

You will have to share pictures if you get snow at the cabin. I can't wait to see Scout's reaction to snow!

Best wishes with your tests, and I hope you guys have a happy Thanksgiving.

I love snow too...we have moved a little further north in this new house and might see a smidge more snow than we did at our old house, but nothing like I grew up in Michigan with.

Good luck on your exams.

Hahaha, yes it is a fad. My husband and I notice young people in PJ bottoms all the time, shopping etc right in the city! Even guys!
Sorry but I wouldn't be caught dead in Walmart wearing my jammies!

We are turning into a society of 'comfy' clothes wearing people. My girls get home from school and put on PJ's all the time...so funny, I don't even wear them to bed. :0
Love your pictures...glad the squirrels are stocking up for winter. Can't wait to see more of your winter photos!!

The p.j. pants and slippers were a fad here with the high school girls, finally it was added to the dress code as a "no-no"... We're a pretty relaxed school, but it was getting silly. Good luck on your tests!

Jammies and scrubs seem to be the attire of the day around here as well. Can't wait to see what these folks will wear to job interviews! Good luck on your exam.

No love of snow from me!!

The squirrels around here have been busy, too. I'm hoping that Rocky will start to "hibernate" a little! He has been so active, that I can't keep up with what he knocks over. LOL!

I'm excited for you to get snow because I can't wait to see the photos! I laughed at the pajama comment too, my sons haven't mentioned that, but I guess they just think it's normal. They're jeans and t-shirts kind of guys, so they might not even notice.
Blessings,
Marcia

Shelly, Snow is beautiful, but I only like to visit for a week or so.
I am not a cold weather person. I went on campus a while back and you are right, look like they just got out of bed.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I feel a tinge of jealousy when I hear you talk about the snow at the cabin, the skies and the snowshoes...it all seems to go together for me. I can't help think Scout will love the winter with you two.

As for pjs in the classroom, I have trouble understanding that also. They seem better suited for the winter evenings in the cabin. Hope you last two tests go well, so that you can relax over the holiday.

Awesome pair of squirrel photos! (As always.) I adore the snow, and I'm getting the feeling that ours may be late this year even though the Almanac is predicting Thanksgiving week for the first storm. We'll see, I guess. Can't wait to hear about how you aced those exams!!

We're getting ready for snow here too. I have to say though, I don't like it much. Too cold.
Glad you are doing good in school. I can't imagine wearing pajama pants out of the house. Especially to school.

"NUTZ", our resident squirrel ahs been cutting down pine cones off of our 2 huge pine trees at a fast and furious pace! When he's done, all around the base of the trees are the "petals" (I don't know what that part of the pine cone is called that covers the seeds) and the little cobs of the pine cones! It's funny but makes a mess since we are still mowing the lawn down here!

They said snow is possible here on Wednesday - :O! I hope YOU get what you are wishing for.
I see PJ's in the grocery store; with slippers to boot! I think it's pathetic!
