Weekend Recap at the Cabin

Greg and I went to the cabin for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. (Thank you to everyone for your kind wishes! Greg read every single comment!) Let me recap our weather for you:

Thursday - Rain
Friday - Rain
Saturday - More Rain. I am contemplating building an Ark at this point.
Sunday - Clears up and of course it's time to head home.

No matter the weather, we still had a great time! We rented movies, read books and went walking in the rain. It's hard to explain, but just being in our log cabin itself feels like a vacation to me.

Here's the last of Autumn's leaves, still clinging on.

Glad you had a great weekend, Shelley, despite the rains. Sometimes --it's just fun to stay inside and cuddle!!!!!

I think rain gives us permission to slow down and snuggle - perfect for an anniversary weekend. Congrats to you both.

We've had lots of rain too Shelley. I'm glad that you two enjoyed the cabin; it certainly is cozy and the surrounding area is just lovely. Thanks for sharing the Autumn color with us. Hope you have a great week.

Sounds like a great weekend to me! I am so ready for a few days where I don't have to worry about writing papers or going to class...

Only 1 more day of working at the retirement home. Hoping that the internship at the school will be more enjoyable... at least I won't be working weekends. :)

Take Care and hope you have a great week,

Debbie

It may be hard for you to explain how just being in a log cabin feels like vacation to you, but to me that makes total sense. I am sure I would feel the same way. Whenever I walk into anyone's log cabin, I just want to curl up on the sofa...and dream that I am on vacation.

More beautiful pictures my friend. Love when you share them.

Hasn't the past month or so been extra RAINY here in Michigan? We just spent 4 days in Indiana on a Get-Away...and it rained most of the time there!! But...like you, we had an awesome time.

Your cabin sounds delightful.

I just recently found your blog and added it to my FAVS...and will be coming back!!

Jan

Cuddle in the rainy weather. Great Anniversary.
I feel like I am on a vacation whenever we spend time in the camper, so I know what you mean.

Now you know what I have been talking about (all the rain we have gotten day after day in the U.P.!!)
That is why the waterfalls are so high and rushing in all my photos. ha
Glad you got some cuddling time in at the cabin..you guys need to honeymoon it whenever you can!
No leaves left here either...just brown and bare limbs and cold and windy. The good news is that we are supposed to get sun and back up in the 50's on Saturday. YAY!!

I'm glad you had a great weekend at the cabin even with all the rain. We also had rain, but not quite as much. You got a beautiful picture of the leaf.

Oh come on! You two aren't married so long that a long weekend in a romantic cabin can be spoiled by a little bit of inclement weather. ;-)
