Log Cabin Christmas - Part 1

Good morning everyone! I thought I would share a few photos of our Christmas decorated log cabin. For many years I dreamed of having a cozy log cabin and I always thought it would be a wonderful place to spend Christmas. (As well as drive my neighbors crazy with me yelling "Hi there" from the deck. Ha! Next I might break out the schnauzer pajamas....)

Here's my skinny 9 foot Christmas tree. I put it up all by myself! Scout tried to climb onto the ladder to help me hang ornaments. I'm lucky to still be alive...

Here's my electric fireplace. I added some cranberries to the garland afterwards. One day I'll have a fieldstone fireplace.......(Greg is running to hide his wallet right now.....)

Here's a close up of my Santa. Notice that he's carrying a birdhouse? He likes the birdys too.

Here's a close up of my tree. I love my angel ornament. Greg says he hopes she inspires me.......what does he mean by that?!

Is that fireplace new? I don't remember it from last year. It looks really nice! I love your tall skinny tree. Nice job decorating!
Hey, guess what? We finally have some snow! Not much, only a couple inches, but snow! It was real cold this morning - 16!

Such a lovely log home to spend Christmas in. We love the skinny trees because they are easier to decorate and put lights on. Your tree is beautiful and that Santa is just perfect for you Shelley. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and smooches for Scout!

Oh...how pretty! I'd LOVE to be STRANDED in a LOG CABIN in a snowstorm!! (Well, I'd LOVE to be STRANDED ANYWHERE INSIDE in a snowstorm!!) LOL!

As for the angel comment, tell Greg if he keeps that up, Santa might not leave him anything.

LOL!!! ROFLOL!!

Everything looks just like a log cabin Christmas should. I love joining you vicariously through the internet, it's so nice of you to share. You did a great job getting that tree up. I laughed at your field stone fireplace and angel comments. Aren't husbands funny? Have a wonderful Christmas.
Blessings,
Marcia

All I can say is WOW! This room looks beautiful. I had to wait years for my woodburning stone fireplace, it was worth it though. We have built our home in stages, and the fireplace was always a "plan".

Oh Shelley, I absolutely LOVE it... Your cabin is exactly what I 'dream' about having... Guess, for me, it will be in another lifetime. I will just enjoy yours through your pictures.

Love your tree, and especially the SANTA... Wow--what a beauty. AND to think --he is a birdhouse. Terrific!!!!

Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see Part II.

You've got the cabin beautifully decorated for Christmas. Somehow I'm not surprised that your Santa is carrying a bird house. I hope you can keep Scout off of ladders while you finish your decorating.

Someday! sigh. Someday.
I love seeing inside yours. It's kind of like my "cabin fix". Love your decorations. Perfect!
You still haven't told me how you did the "friend thing"! Scout is my only "friend". How sad is that?
LOL.
Merry Christmas Dear Shelley! And Scout and Greg too. Did he ever come back after hiding his wallet?

I love your little electric fireplace!
We have a large stone fireplace, but it is gas and not wood. My hubby wishes we had put a wood one, as we both like the smell and crackling of one, but the gas one is so much cleaner and I just have to flip a switch.ha
