A dog story from the Log Cabin

Somewhere out of the log cabin....

...down a wooded winter road....

....a man tries to walk his spoiled Bernese Mountain Dog.

The "offender" in question, who shall remain anonymous, has decided to test the man and show him who's boss.

Little does the man know, the "offender" doesn't do this with mommy!

How adorable!!! Our 2 pups do a few things ONLY with me, too! And, they're always on their BEST behavior with me...not always with daddy!! LOL!!!

That is too funny...my kids push their dad a lot more than they do me!!! I hope you are doing well, haven't chatted with you in quite a while..

Your Bernese is Beautiful...what is his name? Thanks for visiting me. My profile is of our 'Creekside Retreat', the 'Hunting Shack', 'Home Away From Home', 'The Get-Away',depending on our mood at the time....I will have to post more pics of it...it's small but we love it. I still 'dream' it becomes our home at retirement.
Blessings and Come again

What happened to the puppy you had?
Ha!
We've never had a dog that walked good-even after obedience training. So I know it's all in the trainer. my fault.

There is a blog imaginechildhood and in it there is a section of "Barn Stories" - mostly about a now-teenage foal... written the same way, with photos and short descriptions - love them both!

I love how you can take outstanding photographs and daily happenings and make them into fun and interesting stories. Really you could illustrate and write children's story books. I just cannot believe how much Scout has grown. You must be treating him well. The snow at the cabin is beautiful!

In answer to your question regarding your email...I did receive it and I will respond. I look forward to the meeting.

Holy Cow... That is Scout????? What are you feeding that dog????? I cannot believe how big Scout is now.

Poor Greg.... He'd probably rather you take Scout for a walk anyhow. ha...

Hope you are doing fine. I miss hearing from you --but understand how busy you are. How's school????

Betsy

I have to laugh because it is the same way here. I can take Sasha out and she listens to me so well but if Wendell does, he usually has to come and get me. *laughing* At night she will hope up on the bed and sleep with me till he comes to bed and he gets upset when she growls at him to make her move.

Whoever said the dog was mans best friend was wrong.... dog is womans!

Stay warm,
Debbie

Hahahaaaaaaa...
she took HIM for a walk, didn't she?

They are such little smart devils, aren't they?

She knew you needed a break from the books too and wanted to get you out in the fresh air, I am sure!

big Giant Puppy. They can be a handful at that age :o)
Still looks plenty wintry around there. We have had a few melts and warm ups here...this morning there was new snow. Frankly I am tired of it.

Our Giant Puppy Granddog is having a training session and I got to watch the guy. It was very neat. I am a little tired of her eating my shoes while I am still in them (o:

"Spoiled Bernese Mountain Dog" heh? I wonder how Scout got that way...Mom?

That is cute!! Beautiful pictures in the snow. I love Bernese Mountain dogs, they have such personality and gentle souls!

She is really growing up isn't she? Of course you know that all little girls get away with mischief with their daddys!

BabyRocketDog walks at a perfect heel with me but rarely stays at Pat's side when he walks her. 'Nuff said.

That's pretty cute! Dogs really do have a "pack" mentality don't they?

Our daughter and her family have a 100+ pound Weimeriemer (sp?) named ZEUS. In the last couple of months he has licked a hole in their carpet. Come to find out, the dog trainer told them it was a stress issue. He began licking around the time that our youngest moved in with them (Charlie goes to the college about 5 minutes from their house). ZEUS is apparently stressed about where he and Charlie fit in, as far as the "pack" goes. He doesn't know if he is his buddy (they're always playing and wrestling) or if he is in authority over him.

Who would've thought?

Ha Ha Ha! Great big smiles & laughs at this story!

these little fur kids are so so spoiled. i cant even walk our bulldog on a leash anymore, he just stops, turns his head and takes the collar and leash off. HE wants no part of the indignity of being tethered.
I've often thought to write to Ceaser Millan to ask what part of pack behavior is stamping the back paw and whining. I don't think I've ever seen that in the nature films about wolves :-)

be well!
