It's almost time....

My Loons should be back within the next 30 days. I'm so excited! I have to get ready. Get the kayak geared up. Another memory card for my camera. And a bull horn so I can yell at all those boaters and jet skiers who get too close to my Loon babies!

Here's a video so you can hear how beautiful the Loons sound.

Can't believe that it's almost LOON time for you, Shelley. Hope you have some time this spring to see them --and of course, take care of them.

Hope school is going well.
Hugs,
Betsy

I'm hoping that if it's getting close to time for the Loon Ranger to start patrolling, Spring will soon be here.
I can't wait!

TFS!! We love Loons. My husband and I honeymooned up in the Adirondacks in NY and we just bought a little over 5 acres of lakefront property to build our log home on.

We cannot wait to hear and see the Loons and their sweet babies on their backs.

Can't wait to see the pics you post.

Thanks again.

Shelly,
Beautiful sound, I have heard it before and it's almost haunting. The weather has been gorgeous up here & if this weather continues we'll have no snow in a couple of weeks. It's supposed to rain and be in the 40s Sunday. Have a safe trip up.
hugs,
Pam

I never heard those sounds before. I can imagine how fun that would be to be in your peaceful surroundings and hear them. Wow! So interesting.

I did think of you on Sunday evening. We were visiting my MIL's friend at the retirement home. He showed us proudly, two owls that he had skillfully finished carving out of wood, and then he told us his next project would be two Loons. Immmediately my mind went to you and your beautiful log cabin location. Just thought you'd like to know.

Hey there Girl. That was awesome! I don't think I've ever heard them before - but yet . . . somehow they sound familiar.
How are you? How is school? How is my dog Scout? Is all of your snow gone already? It's sonly the beginning of March - I thought you'd have it until at least April. See how much I know? LOL.
Have a wonderful day and thanks for sharing your beautiful Loons with all of us!
Hugs! Karen

Quite a few years ago I was tenting on the shores of an Adirondack lake, the loon "music" played all night long. One of my fondest memories!

Loons in April? Wow. I guess I've never paid attention to what time of year they come back to our lake. I'll be sure to mark the date this year, though and compare! =)

I love loons too. I hate to tell you this, but I saw the first one last week. It's early for us, but the warm winter must have them confused. Thanks for stopping by for my Skywatch Friday post. - Margy
