Adventures of the Red Squirrel

Time to lighten things up on my blog!

So how did this Red Squirrel end up exhausted and laying down on my deck railings? To get the answer to that, we have to go back in time....

Here he is munching on some peanuts. Now where did he get those.....

Oh yeah, by cramming his plump little body into my tiny little bird feeder! One thing I do have to say, he was pretty neat. Notice how he placed the empty seed shells outside the feeder.

He may be a worn out peanut thief, but he's darn cute! - Margy

He really is cute - we often see squirrels "spread out" like that on top of our bird houses! Looks like you caught him with the evidence!

cute pictures
he is indeed neat
once when my son was a toddler we fed a squirrel a slice of apple. It ate it all but the skin. Son says, "why do I have to eat the peels...he doesn't?" (o:

He heard, via the nature hotline that you are one amazing photographer. He thought that now is his chance to star. He was right, that cute little guy!

That's too cute!! I've watched the squirrels hang upside down by their tails to get to my bird feeder. They are too funny.

We have lots of these 'cute' lil fellas around the house and the cabin stuffing their cheeks with whatever we offer. I love to watch them gorge, run and hide seeds, then come back for more, over and over and over again. I do NOT like when they plant the seeds in my planters tho, so I cover them with stones. It works and I still can enjoy their journeys.

We don't have any squirrels in our neighborhood. I've heard that they can be quite pesky. You couldn't tell that from this cute picture. LOL

I was so sad to read your previous post. Its such a shame. I wish I had my incubator to give you to use before they got cold. *hugs*

Now this little guy is a cutie! I love seeing him laying down on his belly like that.

Oh My..... What would bloggers do without pictures of squirrels to put on their blogs???? So far, I have refused to photograph any of our squirrels... Of course, your red ones are cuter than our old gray ones...

Betsy

Shelley. We once had a neighbour who fed Grey Squirrels and they were very, very tidy..they threw all the peanut cases over our side of the fence!! Have a great weekend. FAB.

Oh, sure. Your squirrels are all cute and well behaved and clean up after themselves, while my marauding grays break-in uninvited and leave a mess! ;-)

Very amazing photos, though. Your nature photography is definitely a cut above all the rest!

You should do a grouping of photos of all the wildlife from your property to hang in the cabin.
