Fall is coming!

My favorite time of year is upon us. I love autumn and can't wait to show off Michigan's colors to you soon. How is it looking in your neck of the woods?

I've started decorating the cabin. I've decided a girl can't have too many pumpkins. Thus I plan on putting pumpkins everywhere - inside and outside the cabin. Greg says we don't live on a pumpkin farm but I beg to differ...

The trees have a little hint of color right now.

The ducks are getting ready to migrate. I'm sure my poop covered dock will miss them.

And Scout may be the happiest of all. She thrives on cold weather and is ready for the white fluffy stuff.

This is my favorite time of year too Shelley. What fun it must be to decorate your cabin for Autumn. Not much color here yet - in fact we are still having daytime highs in the mid 90's! Pretty reflection of the ducks but my fav is Scout-what a cutie! Enjoy the weekend.

Hi Shelley!

It definitely looks more like fall there in Michigan than it does here in Arkansas!

What a beauty Scout has grown into! And tell Greg that it's true...a girl really can't have too many pumpkins! :)

I just love any pics of your cabin! It's so cozy and homey!

Have a great upcoming weekend!

Well, I grew up in Mi, so I know it will be beautiful!. I am a pumpkin lover too.

Walking in Hendersonville, NC yesterday with a visiting sister, I saw a dog. I knew it was a Bernese Mountain dog! I asked and I was right. Her name was Zoey. She was a sweety. I thought of you.
Hugs,
Penny

So, do you save all the poop on the dock for next year?

I'm glad Scout is looking forward to snow. I'm looking forward to cooler temperatures, but the snow can wait for a while. I also look forward to seeing more pictures of your beautiful cabin in autumn.

I agree about the pumpkins. What is it about pumpkins?? Perhaps it's their colour and then again, their shape? Scout looks very fit and cuddly. I shall be watching for more of your decorated posts!
If you like pumpkins so much, you may enjoy my pumpkin Halloween story. I'm on Chap. 3 already.
Blessings, Star

You know what? The leaves here are almost half DOWN...we were in full color the last two weeks and now most of the tops have blown off already! Marquette is just getting into full color and the same for Baraga County, but we are in the middle and got our full color first and are now losing our leaves first too. I love this time of year too, but dread winter coming. ha

I did not remember that this was your favorite time of the year too. I love seeing how you decorated the cabin. You make it all look so festive and cozy, but I must admit Scout is the one that steals my heart.
