Snowy Owl

I made one of my dreams come true this year - I found the Snowy Owl! For those of you that don't know, this is an irruptive year for the Snowy Owls and they usually don't come down so far south. But lack of food is pushing the juveniles down this year. I joined the Michigan Audubon's Birding Tour in Sault Ste. Marie. And would you know it, we ended up spotting two! (And by the way - I was the 1st one to see it.) Such a beautiful creature - hard to describe - but it was a beautiful moment!

How are all of you doing? I'm slowly making my blog rounds....

Gorgeous creature! I would LOVE to see one in the wild! I got so excited seeing my first bald eagle in the wild this summer. He landed in a tree pretty close to me so I was able to get a nice picture of him!

How fun! I hate to admit it, but I've never seen a regular owl, so a snowy owl would be a fantastic coup!

Hugs,
Pam
