Door to the log cabin

Here is the side entrance to our log cabin (log home now!) I'm looking at the door we went with (it met our budget at the time) and I'm already making plans to replace it - maybe a carved wood door. Check out these doors at Rich Door http://www.richdoor.com/ . There's just so many laws when you own a log cabin -You have to mount a deer head on one of your walls, have a cozy fireplace, a carved wood door, rocks and the list goes on. But that's another post....

Shelly,
If this is the kind of door I think it is ( has a skin on it to look like wood ) then if you put a cool wood color stain on it, then it will improve the look : ) Just a thought until you can afford the Rich door : )
Chris
ps it is all looking good at your cabin / home....

Wow. I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite from there, but "Longs Peak from Chasm Lake" is awful pretty. A barn style door is another nice look on a log cabin, and a lot less expensive!

Yep, you'd think owning a log home would be all individual like, but it's not! Lots of rules to conform to. NOT!

Do what you want and what you feel is right. I know you were speaking with tongue firmly planted in cheek, but break the cycle.

Our interior is all Mission Style (or at least as much as we could afford so far) but I'll confess that we chose Mission because the log home manufacturer (Beaver Mountain Log & Cedar Homes) had one of their model cabins tricked out in Mission and it was gorgeous to look at.
