Window ledges in the log home

The front wall of our log home is a half log wall. This was due to the many windows we have in this wall and the fact that it faces the lake side. (The rest of the home is a full round log.) A result of this half-log wall are these deep window ledges. I love them! I'm trying to decide between making window seats or just using them as another display area for plants, pictures, etc.

Nice, beautiful and if it was me, I'd leave them be, for a clear beautiful view through the windows, but that's just me.

Reliv - gosh - I better measure! Big enough for my tush to sit on. :-)

jen - yes - the cat already flattens himself against this window when the birds come to the feeders.

J a.k.a. Rob - if you help me w/ the landscaping - ha,ha!

Sandy - I'm inclined to agree - if I do go w/ curtains - they would just be fishtail swags to frame them - not hide the view.

I love all those deep window ledges. I am an inveterate collector, so you can guess what they're used for in my cabin. None of mine are at the right height for window seats; that would be nice too!
