Get your flu shot!
I was hospitalized with flu complications the past few days. I have to say this was the worst flu I ever had in my life and made me wish I had gotten my flu shot this year. I was so dehydrated that they went through 8 bags of IV solution to get me rehydrated. I am home now resting. I will catch up with all of you in the next few days. Next year I am definitely getting my flu shot. Did any of you get yours this year?

I noticed you were MIA! I'm sorry it was for this reason. I've never gotten a flu shot...something to think about.
I hope you get better soon! Thank you for the warm and cozy socks! They arrived on Friday and I wore them to bed last night-my feet were freezing.
Oh, friend, I am so sorry you have been so sick. I know we used to catch every bug that came by and all pass it around. Now, after 2 years on Reliv, we rarely get sick at all. I know a few weeks ago I got a stomach bug that friends were sick with for a week and I had a touch of it for one day. Also, if one of us catches something, it stays isolated and we don't all get it. Reliv is not just a regular supplement - it is patented and amazing! Something to think about. Rest as much as you can and take care of yourself. I have missed you.
Take it easy and get lots of rest. I should have gotten my flu shot and may regret this decision this year. Thanks for sharing all the beautiful snowy pictures of your cabin.

I am so sorry you are so sick,rest,get well
No, I didn't get it. I know I should have being pregnant but my hubby didn't want me to. He was too leery of me doing that. I am home full-time now so I have managed to get lots of rest and avoid most of the cold season stuff. I figured if I got the flu, I can rest and care for myself as needed w/out worrying about going back to work.

After 32 years in the classroom I figure I'm pretty much immune to anything carried by virus or bacteria! (Although that bout of walking pneumonia took it's toll in '06.)
Awwwww Shelley,... what a nasty way to spend Christmas! I always get a flu shot, two indicators: age and asthma. Get lots of rest and feel better soon!
I sure hope you feel better soon, no I didn't get a flu shot although Stush did, I hope I don't regret it but probably will:(

ohh sorry you are sick. I had the stomach flu at Halloween and it brought my resistance down low, so I have had a cold and cough onand off ever sense.
Hope your better soon.
Please take it easy and get well.. Even when you start feeling better, don't over-do. I have missed your blogs and comments--but that can wait..

I had lung problems in 2005 so I get a flu shot every year and it is definitely worth it.

Shelley, the flu is nothing to take lightly. Make sure you completely recover before you try to do too much. As a result of flu complications I cannot get flu shots.

Oh my stars! Glad you are home and doing better. Yes, my husband and I both got our flu shots as soon as they were available.

I have never had a flu shot and I haven't had the flu in many, many years...I can't even remember the last time I got sick with the flu. (geeesh I hope I didn't just jinx myself)

Yes! We get the shot every year. We never did until the granddaughter started in daycare and in there everything goes around and comes home!

How awful. Get better soon....and next year we will all have to send out a reminder to you in the autumn to get the flu jab!
Fingers crossed we will be ok...not meeting the criteria to get the flu jab on the National Health we are keeping fingers tightly crossed!

OH MY GOODNESS! I hadn't realized that you were hospitalized. I did not get a flu shot, and I'm supposed to since I've had a heart attack. I am late to your blog since I've been up at the cabin. If there is anything that you need, just let me know. I hope you are feeling better soon.
