The snowplow man is making good money off us at the log cabin! We've had our driveway plowed 2 times already this week and it looks like after Sunday's predicted storm, he will be getting our business a 3rd time. It does look so beautiful out here with blankets of clean white snow on the trees and ground. Today it is 10 degrees and partly sunny. There are already ice fisherman out on our lake. I'm still a little hesitant to walk on it with my snow shoes. I have visions of going through the ice. I'll wait till January and then I think it'll be really frozen!
A Christmas wreath to greet you! Watch out for the icicles!
I put garland and red ribbons all around our deck. The chickadees love perching themselves on it until it's their turn at the birdfeeder.

Its all so very pretty! I don't know if I could handle that much snow but it sure does make gorgeous pictures.
It looks beautiful with all that snow, but you sure are making Betsy jealous.

The door looks so pretty with that wreath! Did you hear about our snowstorm here in NY? We got about 6-8". We should be getting a little more on Sun. I hope it stays for Christmas.
Okay Shelley---I'll come and plow your area for FREE---if you will just let me stay in the log cabin and enjoy that plus the snow --just for awhile. Dream on, Betsy!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

Keep your feet on solid ground okay!
I just love your blog! Your photos put me in dream land! No, not to sleep - they're positively dreamy!
Thanks for showing off photos of your fabulous cabin!
dang it I forgot to do that to our deck! you know what would be cool..put some dollops of peanut butter on the garland..they love it.
Be careful on the ice! I too, would be nervous and would wait until it consistently reached 10* or colder at all times.

Oh! It all just looks so Christmasy with all that snow!
That snow is freight-training right across the country, we're getting it right after you do. Snow due to start here in the Adirondacks by mid-morning through to Monday mid-day. I'm grateful that my son or his buddy keep me plowed out as I have a long driveway. Your deck looks lovely!
Lovely lovely lovely! And the icicles... gosh! I thought they were a decoration!!!!:)))))lol
.. Soooo beautiful!!!
Monica.
Thank goodness I don't have to pay a plow guy. Clare Co. plows our road, and since we are on the dead end, the plow the snow onto our property, but they make us a REALLY NICE parking area. I think that is why they do such a nice job on our entrance, because they dump the rest of the snow on our property.
We're spending the week with family in the western Sierras (CA). We're on a rural road and this time of year my stepdad has a plow affixed to the front of one of their trucks. He plows about every 6". Living where we get a dusting once in awhile, we're really enjoying the 18" (and counting) that we have here. Thanks for sharing yours.
