Down at the Sunset Grille

**Please Note: Giveaway Winners are listed in the post below! Thank you!

It was a little cold at the log cabin this weekend - just under 20 degrees but the sun certainly brightened the days. Saturday night we were witnessing this beautiful sunset from the deck of our log cabin. It meant only one thing.....

Time to open up the Sunset Grille! What's better on a crisp cold night than a winter barbecue and eating some juicy steaks! We invited my in-laws over to enjoy them with us. (Besides - wouldn't you think Greg & I are little piggies for eating all these below? Ha,ha!)

After the barbecue, we enjoyed the moon light. As it got darker, we were surprised to see so many stars. Life is good.

You Michiganders are a hardy breed -- a barbeque in 20° weather! But it looks delicious and Mother Nature sure contributed a wonderful sky.

Those steaks look great on the grill and your sky shot is just beautiful! My post today here in NC almost looks like it could have been taken in Michigan! We had a big snow storm and have 8 inches of snow!!

Anne - thank you!

Dawn - I think being outside in the great outdoors just makes the food taste even better!

George - We're making the most of this cold winter! But I am looking forward to barbecuing without hat, mittens, boots & a winter coat! Ha,ha!

Jen - I thought you would be an all round griller! I'm going to be one too now!

Charli - Marvin says hello and he saved you a bit of steak!

Leedra - it was cold but we were happy to be there!

Upon a hill - thanks so much!

Wendy - thanks sis!

Hi Betsy - Greg's parents have a cottage about 20 minutes south of us. This past weekend they weren't able to make it down the 2 track road to their place so they ended up staying at ours! We had fun!

Tammy - thank you! I should mention we had some good red wine too....

Judy - it was relaxing - just what the doctor ordered!

April - I love every little tree, leaf and rock on our property! The lake is a bonus to look at!

Penny - Michigan is following you... :-)

Grammy - I really should lay off the steak! I keep trying to become a vegetarian but fall off the wagon occassionally - LOL!

Yummy! We grill all year long (of course it's Texas!) I have been collecting buffalo steaks in the freezer for a special occasion. I wait until they are reduced for quick sale and then I grab them! Ground bison is over $5 a pound! I use ground bison in my Black Bean and Buffalo Chili! Since it was determined that it was indeed a meteorite that burnt up over North Texas 2 weeks ago, a few meteor fragments have been discovered.

One of my favorite things to do is to be waiting for Old Faithful to go off at night and watching the night sky for stars! Occasionally you will catch a shooting star or a sattalite passing by!

Love the photos. I was enjoying that very same crescent moon this past Saturday night, too, undoubtedly just an hour or so before you (given the time zone differences). Thanks for sharing this!
