Animal Lover

I went to the Kirtland Warbler Festival last weekend and I saw everything but Kirtland Warblers - ha,ha! But there were plenty of animals and birds for me to fall in love with!

Me: Greg, can I have him?
Greg: NO! And what is he?

Me: How about this guy?
Greg: Look at all that hair! C'mon!

Me: Oh, oh! How about this beautiful Barred Owl?!!
Greg: You're not allowed to have an owl!

Me: If I was a licensed wildlife rehabilitator I could have all the hawks and owls I wanted!
Greg: Lord help me!

You definitely do not want goats if you love anything floral. They also like to jump up on things, like vehicles. Course they are very sweet and cute, but penned up is best!
Love those owl and hawk shots. They are so expressive!

Wonderful walk through of the neat animals you saw!

They are all so cute. I do the same thing too: "I want ONE!!!"

Gregg needs to lighten up and just get the dog already.;)

I adore animals, too...great shots! Keep working on that hubby of yours...he's bound to cave in sooner or later! :)

so one dog should look like a great deal instead of all those goats and owls and hawks, right? (grinning!)

I am convinced Greg never gets bored when you are around. You certainly add humor and intrique to his life. Amazing photography once again!!

The first animal was clearly an example of the rare dalmation goat! :-)

Beautiful photos! That sound as bit like my conversation with my husband about wanting a duck, he uses ugly words sometimes though, LOL.

Poor Greg..... He just doesn't understand that his sweetie wants one of every kind of animal there is... Maybe you should work at the zoo, Shelley!!!! ha ha... OR --tell Greg just to get you your dog and that that will make you happy!!!!

Great pictures of the animals... That first one certainly is unique.

Have a great and wonderful day.
Hugs,
Betsy

Loons and raptors. There would be no time for Marvin. Better not take on too much at once.

My neighbor has goats...they are cute, I had no idea about the noise they make...BLAHHH all the time..lol
I volunteered for a bird rehab dude for almost 2 years, we had one winged screech owls, one eyed great horned owls, hawks with twisted legs, even humming birds that got stuck to fly paper..OUCH and when they pulled the hummers off the paper out came all the flight feathers..so that was fun, we found them a ride to Florida late in the season..it was a great experience and every now and then I got to release one back into the wilds, IT was hard work tho-and you cant be bothered by the Mice and Rats at feeding time.
Love your photos-- keep up the great work!!

What beautiful animals. I love animals too but not Charli at this particular moment. She got herself into a container of ice cream. What a mess! She is drying and sulking because she hates baths LOL

Rondell - am I that transparent? LOL!

DVM - Yeah, you're right! Plus my neighbor has goats that have already come over to our property and taken a chomp of a few things. But they are cute....

Retired One - Mostly I like getting Greg nervous that I might actually come back home w/ one of these - ha!

Busy Bee - Greg is still astounded that I put us on the breeder's list - ha,ha! I told him it's too late....

Wendy- I think I love those owls as much as I love Loons!

April - He will love that dog as much as me! LOL!

Cedar - so you recognize that there's a method to my madness! Ha! I just keep asking him for 20 different animals and the dog will seem like a piece of cake! :0

Judy - Greg thinks he's funnier than me but WE know the truth! :)

John - bingo! :-)

Dawn - I think I'd send Greg to an early grave if I had all those animals around - ha,ha!

Karen - you're lucky you have them - too bad they are noisy though! I would love to photograph them in the wild!

Cyndi - you are so sweet to say that - thank you!! Hugs to you my friend!

Bobbi - get ready!!!

Darla - I hadn't thought about asking Greg for a duck.....hmm......

Betsy - mostly it just makes me laugh to send him into a panic of all these animals invading our home! Ha,ha!

NC - Instead of that t.v. show Jon & Kate plus 8, I could be Shelley, Greg, Marvin + Loons and a dog!

Dixie - really you have the most interesting background! That's awesome that you did that! I've played around with the idea - just haven't had the time.

Charli - Marvin is upset that he missed the ice cream! :0

You captured some great pictures of the critters at the festival. How long do you think it will be before Greg gives in and lets you get the dog?

I liked seeing your pictures and I'm with you, I'm an animal lover and think I need one of everything. However, I begged for goats and ended up with 2 adult goats...oops, they didn't last long. What a mess they can make and the male was sort of aggressive. Kept butting me.

LOVE those owls! Such wisdom lies hidden behind those beautiful eyes!

I don't see anything wrong with wanting a polka-dotted goat!

I once had a friend name Shelley she had a famous pouty lower lip when she wanted something. So when I have a pouty lower lip I call it my "Shelley lip". Bet Greg sees that pouty lip too, and to top it off with the same name you probably have it as perfected as she did.
