Doesn't work for me!!!! We have a yard full of chipmunks --and cannot keep them away from the feeders. Drives me crazy!!!! Those cute little guys are HORRIBLE in our yard (building tunnels, etc. etc.etc.)...

They are worse this year than ever before. I don't know why--but you know how they multiply.

Hugs,
Betsy

LOL!!!!!!!! That is the greatest picture and post. I actually bought a squirrel feeder, thinking if I gave them their own food, they would leave the bird seed alone. Nope....they quickly ate theirs and then went to the bird feeder.

We eventually found a true squirrel proof feeder. And it worked against the squirrels. Unfortunately, it wasn't "bear" proof.

Penny

Thanks for the tip. Maybe it will work for chipmunks trying to steal your food on picnics! That happens a lot. Thanks for following me I was so excited to see my 9th follower!!!

Funny post! But those little buggers are invading my bird feeders constantly! ha
here, we seem to have less than last year...but knowing my luck, they are probably honeymooning in their nests as I speak. ha

Northern chipmunks must be more considerate than southern chipmunks -- ours take the bribes and steal the bird food anyway!

We have a squirrel, Charlie named him "NUTZ", that loves our bird feeder. I have tried giving him his own feeder, corn cobs and so on but he ain't interested! Instead, you hear him drop down on the roof from one of the pine trees, run down the length of the house and literally cannonball himself onto the feeder. yup, you guessed it, he busted it over the weekend! Today, a new feeder is on the shopping list. I need to look for a sturdier kind, not plastic, one that can withstand the propelling antics of a squirrel named "NUTZ"!

So that is how you do it!! My mother has been trying to keep squirrels off of her bird feeder for years, and I bet she never thought to try bribing. I will tell her your secret. Great photo!!

Cute little picture. When my son was four he was always trying to catch a chipmunk. I told him it was not possible. Darn if he didn't say "Look at my Chipmunk." I turned around and there was a tiny one on his hand. When I convinsed him to put it down, it kept following us up the trail. We had to run to get away from it (o:

He's so cute, Shelley! Yep, he looks like the type to be bribed...he has a little mischief it that cute little face! I guess that cuteness doesn't make up for stealing from the birds though, does it? Great photo!
