We're landscaping at the log cabin! And I'm offering free hayrides!
Come on down my street.....
I have some hay! (Well really the hay is to protect the grass seed that was just planted on our land.)
I have a tractor! (Not my tractor, I don't know how to drive it, but who cares!)
Now I just need some pumpkins and scarecrows!

I want to go for that ride!
I also love the 2 trees that you've planted. What kind? I'm thinking the one on the right looks like a spruce. But not sure from the pic.
We lined our driveway with Blue spruces...luckily with all the rain this summer I didn't have to worry too much about watering them. But the past 2 weeks have been dry...and today I need to go water 18 trees, biggest problem is that the water still isn't on in the house, so I am forced to use water from Andy's Creek and hike it up and down the driveway...Oh what fun...NOT !
But, I want each of them to grow tall...and I can talk to them and encourage them. (yes, I can be silly sometimes, but who knows maybe the trees really can understand)*silly grin*
HI Dianne - I have a pine to the left and 2 first to the right. But I do have some blue spruces coming - my absolute favorite tree! We are going to do some more planting. That's a lot of work for you in watering 18 trees! Lining your driveway w/ the spruces sounds very nice! And I don't think you're silly for talking to the trees - I like to "encourage" them to!!
You're off to a great start! Looking good!
And now you should be glad you don't have a pup to run through your hay and scatter your grass! lookin' good.
You have been busy. This is the perfect time to plant the grass seed in the cooler fall weather that is coming. I hope it grows in well for you. Your cabin is looking more beautiful by the week. Great work guys!!!
Bobbi - thank you! Still feels like a long way to go....
Cassie - aww - but having a puppy does sound nice anyways!
Jessica - thanks so much - I'm really looking forward to making the landscape nicer!
It's been a LONG time since I have gone on a hayride! I still remember taking our newborn son Charles on a hayride when he was a week old! He will be 18 in October! It doesn't seem like Fall yet down here but that's okay. I always drag out the fall junk Sept 1st and start decorating even if it's still 95 degrees outside! We leave Sept 5th for 2 weeks in Yellowstone and Glacier NP's so I will get to come home to a deorated house! Yipee!
Connie
