Log & Timber Frame Expo

The first day of the Log & Timber Expo is behind us! It was a light crowd but not surprising since it started on a Friday afternoon and most people are working at that time. I'm convinced that people who have an interest in log homes always turn out to be some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. About 30% of the people we met today already own land and are now looking for the right log home. Tomorrow should be the busiest day of the expo and we are looking forward to it. I'm looking at some of these rustic furniture dealers and want to buy almost everything I see. Well my feet are killing me and I'm headed to sleep - here are some photos I took this morning before the expo opened up to the public.

Glad you are having a great time! I love the furniture in the second photo. I have always wanted a chair like that. It reminds me of a "Little Golden Book" I had as a child.

Have fun the remainder of the weekend.

This is pretty cool since Dave & I are hitting the one in Dallas in February! We've been eyeballing the peeled log furniture for quite some time. We have a waterbed and we decided after dismantling last time, 2 years ago, (for the umpteenth time overall!) because of new carpeting, that THAT was THE last time! I am eager to get our new bed but that might be a bit of a wait still since we have our daughter's wedding in less than 5 weeks! Too bad you won't be in Dallas, I would lve to meet you!

beautiful! makes me want to cuddle up on one of those displays with a mug of hot chocolate. this is why people love log cabins so much: emits such a warm fuzzy feeling.
