Giveaway Winner & 2 Runner Ups!

Thank you to everyone who entered my pecan cranberry bread Giveaway! Thank you to the "regulars" and thank you to the "newbies" - it gave me a chance to visit many great new blogs. I decided in addition to my giveaway winner, I would also draw 2 additional names and give away their choice of cherry preserves or British lemon curd from Zingermans - great for spreading on bread!

I had Greg draw the names! Drum roll please..............................

The winner of Zingerman's cranberry pecan bread is Jessica at Five Pines! Congratulations to Jessica! Please email me your home address to shelleyupnorth at gmail dot com.

My two runnerups are Cedar at Adirondack View and NC Mountain Woman (Jayne) at Mountain Musings. Congrats to my 2 runner ups! Ladies - please email me whether you would like the cherry preserves or the lemon curd spread along with your address to shelleyupnorth at gmail dot com.

Thank you again! In keeping with the holiday spirit, I will be hosting another giveaway in December. Please stop by again! And if you enjoy my blog, please stop by often!

Congratulations to Jessica and she deserved to win because if it weren't for her, I would have never discovered folks like Shelley and Jen. There were other winners here too, as I noticed that there were two from my blog roll who discovered for the first time Building a log cabin.

Cliff Note: This was also a lot of fun!

Hi Shelley!

Deleted the last ones because of some silly typos... oops. :)

Just sending a quick note to say hello and say thanks for checking out our blog! Sorry I haven't commented back until now... we've been slacking lately :)

I absolutely love reading about your experiences building a log cabin. I was thrilled to find it on Denise's blog and am glad to hear you have enjoyed ours! As I said, we've been slacking, but hopefully it will be picking up again soon.

I hope you get the chance to visit Vermont in the near future. It is one of the most wonderful places a person can ever come across. I'll look forward to a blog on that visit when it happens. :)

Correct...Doris and I have been dating for one month. :) It was her family I was with last night, and it was her family who wore me out yesterday! :)

Today was very low-key compared to THAT...I only went to the library, then Doris and I went to her house and laid around most of the time...although we did have to walk a couple miles to a Kroger store to get some stuff for tacos...:) Now THAT was good eatin'!

OH - almost forgot about your question about how I got interested in DJ'ing.

I have always liked listening to music. One day, I popped into this chatroom where I heard someone broadcasting. I asked them if they could teach/show me how to do that. They did. I've been doing this off and on for a couple years. :-) And I love every millisecond of it. :-)

Well, of course the big losers in all of this fun are the Canada geese in Raleigh, NC. Very sad indeed...

Shelley, kudos to you for a FUN contest!
