Christmas Odds & Ends

Here are some odds and ends photos of some more Christmas decorations and ornaments at the log cabin. I put a little tree in our shoe cube corner decorated with bird houses. I picked up this green star lantern light that I think I'll just keep up year round - what do you think? And I had to post a few more of my favorite ornaments - of course one involves a log cabin! The other is made out of an egg and represents the town of Grayling, Michigan where my in-laws have a cabin. I purchase the new egg every year for me and my mother-in-law. I still feel like I have so much to do to get ready for Christmas! Monday is going to be a power baking day once I get home. How about you? Are you ready???

The green star lantern should remain year long, looks great in your cabin. All of the other things are great too. Just such a lovely cabin you have.

I never feel as if I'm "ready," but the important things are done. Love the star lantern, definitely a year-round keeper.

It sounds as if you're going to have a very busy week. I think we're as ready for Christmas as it's possible to be. I think you should keep the green star year round!

I agree with the others, the star lantern looks like a year-round decoration to me. I just finished up all my cookie baking for gift-giving today, and I even got them all packed up in their little tins and boxes. It was fun, but I am SO glad to be done! I think I am ready for the holidays! I hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas.

Oh Shelley, I love them all--especially the bird house!!!! How Precious.

Are you staying warm up there??? It's cold here but no snow. Our low tonight is supposed to be about 10 degrees. That's COLD for us.
Hugs,
Betsy

The cabin looks warm and inviting, love the star lantern! You'll have to share with all of us what you baked and we might even require some recipes too!

I am ready and waiting for Christmas. I wrapped the last gift yesterday afternoon. Today I am going shopping for Christmas dinner. While I am shopping at Sprawl-Mart, my 18 year old son will be finishing up his Christmas shopping. I try to be organized and get my preparations done early so that my heart can be available and open to whatever or WHOMever God places upon it. I plan on visiting with an elderly widow friend tomorrow if it goes to plan.

Merry Christmas!
Connie

absolutely YES on leaving that lovely star up year round. That is beautiful! I like the egg too. I would never have the patience to blow out an egg and decorate it. I'd end up with a lot of broken egg shells!

I see you are being spammed.

Anyway the only thing I need to do is stop by the Giant Eagle and buy the spiral sliced ham with the gift card my company gave me.
