Christmas mood

The temptation was overwhelming - I just had to decorate the log cabin just a little bit for Christmas. The Loons and the owl on top of the kitchen cupboards were begging for some white twinkling lights! Oh, and they wanted Santa to keep them company too. I think I can wait a couple more weeks before putting up the 9 foot Christmas tree .....but then again....maybe not!

I went to a Christmas festival in a nearby town this past weekend and that definitely got me in the mood. This Wednesday, I'll be posting my tasty giveaway - be sure to stop back!

The Downtown shops already have their Christmas window displays ready.

Here comes Mr. & Mrs. Klaus!

The cutest parade goer ever! (Quinn - my beautiful niece!)

It's beginning to look a little like Christmas at your cabin! The festival looks like it was fun.

What a cutie pie your little niece is. She was dressed warmly, wasn't she???? I'm thinking about Christmas already myself. I'll probably decorate our house next week. We'll be out-of-town from Nov. 30- Dec. 5---so I don't want to wait until after the 5th to decorate.

I actually have twinkly lights up over my cabinets, all year long! I love how it brightens up my little decor that I have up there!

I finally got all of the Halloween and Fall decor down yesterday. I am hoping to pack it up today and store it. I doubt I'll get much else done before we leave for St Louis this Friday. Every year we take vacation and spend Thanksgiving with family and friends. I enjoy it but I lose 9 whole days away from my own home! It just means I have to be super-duper organized!

Denise - never felt this way before about decorating so early. It's the "having a log cabin" syndrome! You work at the airport - right? No wonder - it's gotta be rough until after xmas!!

Michele - I am still laughing at Lizzie's question! Thank you for sharing!

Penny - it's starting to seep in...can't wait to see what you do at your lovely place! You will also like my giveaway being an Ann Arbor native - HINT: Zingerman's!

Ms. Hays - Yeah - I guess I did bundle the niece up a bit much - ha,ha! Love your blog!!

Betsy - yes - join me on my early decorating madness!

Sandy - Yea!

Jill - I look forward to the day we're up there permanently. We don't have all these small town events downstate where I'm at.

Naturegirl - that tree is begging to be let out of that box! Wish I could have a real one but we're only up there on the weekends! But I am going to get a potted tree and decorate it w/ bird treats for my feathered friends outside.

Carol - I was made for christmas! ha,ha!

Connie - I was seriously considering never taking down those lights....

Jen - you are so right! I want to create the best memories this year!

Brandi - I've hit some good sales already! :-0

I love twinkle lights! I can imagine how nice that looks when the room lights are real low. I have twinkle lights wrapped around a beam in my kitchen all year round. That's why I call them twinkle instead of Christmas lights.
