It's Friday!
Today is Friday which means we are heading up to the log cabin! It is suppose to be in the mid 40's this weekend so I'm expecting some more snow to melt. My in-laws will be going to their cottage which isn't too far from us. I received an ominous call from my brother-in-law - he said to tell the the hubby and stepson to bring proper attire to play paintball in the woods. Ouch! (No, I will not be playing - I don't feel like being riddled with 20 different paint colors!)
I'm more into the silent sports - kayaking, hiking, birdwatching...
* I will catch up with you on Sunday. Sorry if I've missed your blog lately - It's been crazy around our house as I've been helping the hubby at his office as well as managing my own business. I promise to visit you soon!

I can't think of a more delightful way to spend the weekend! Enjoy it and savor every moment. It's those sweet weekend moments that sustain me through the drudgery of the work week!

I'm sure it will be a great weekend with lots of warming sunshine and melting snow! Watch out for paint bombs!

Enjoy-
I bet they talk you into it. ha!
Have a safe drive and I already know You'll have a great weekend. I actually do want to play paintball, I think it would be fun to smack all my kids legally and baldyman to!
happy friday, to you :)
enjoy your weekend relaxing... but don't let them "paint" that birdhouse!
Hi Shelley! Well, I hope you do have a wonderful weekend. Enjoy yourself and take a breather - sounds like you need one!
Have a wonderful weekend!
I like your relaxing-looking porch and the silent sports, but would also like to throw in a dose of the paintball action :)
Have a great weekend, Shelley.. Stay away from the Paintball. Birding is much safer, cleaner and BETTER!!! ha
Hugs,
Betsy
Have a great time:)

So what is it about brothers and paint ball fights? My brother and his boys (along with my son) love this? Nope, it's not my "thing" either! Men and their toys, right?
Have fun at the cabin!
Tammy
It sounds like a fun filled weekend for you. Have a safe trip.
Ginger
I hope you have a wonderful spring weekend at the cabin. I look forward to seeing more pictures!
Have a happy spring day, Denise
Shelley, have a wonderful weekend at the cabin! I'm just a wee bit jealous, ya know!
Get them busy doing something constructive, rather than harassing the surrounding wildlife and coloring the trees with all those whizzing paint balls! :-)
Happy Spring!
Have a wonderful weekend at your cabin. I hope some more of the snow melts and that you come back with many pictures.
Another pretty bird. Have a nice weekend.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I bet the guys have a blast playing paint ball in the woods :>)Love your deck!
That could be fun(o: Have fun whatever you do. Do you cook while your there? When I am in the camper, I just take up pre-cooked stuff and warm it up. Gives me more time to walk and read and...read (o:
wow, I'm behind on blogs too!! Paintballing...three of my sons were in to that way back when they were younger...don't blame you for lying low.
Looks like a great weekend. Hope Spring finds you there...but looks like you still have quite a bit of snow.
Paintball sounds like such fun Shelley. You should do it! Does the paint stain? Have fun at the cabin. (Maybe Marvin will have something awaiting him when he returns to the city!)
Have a great weekend and I hope your successful at avoiding the paint ball.
What a nice weekend. My guys went thru a time of paintball but I had to drive them. Good times. COnnie
Morning Shelly, Glad you came by and thanks for your kind words. Hope your weekend was "not full of bright paint colors" but a fun one just the same. It will be about 80 degrees here, so out to the flower beds and weeds. See you soon.

Thanks for the visit. Enjoy the visit at the cabin. I am heading up the lake today after over two weeks in Bellingham with my mother. It is going to be SO GOOD to get home. Maybe I'll do the same as you. A little easy kayaking in Mr. Blue, some reading and hopefully some bird watching. - Margy
Be careful with paintball ...and where proper clothes and protective goggles!
Your bird photos are always so crisp and beautiful! I know, I know. I say that all the time. But they are. Looks like with the snow on it's way out, you are entering prime log cabin season! (If you ignore the mud, LOL.)
Thank you everyone for your visit & Comments!
Caroline - I have a cat carrier and take the cat with us everytime we go up - it's about a 3 hour drive and he does very well!
Grammy - I do both! Sometimes I pre-bake some treats! :)
Thanks for taking the time to come to grannymountain. When I came back to post I found your other two blogs. We built our home on the side of this mountain nearly 4 years ago. Not log but we used Stitt Energy Systems to build it totally green and are reaping the rewards in low utility bills. The best part is and always has been the nature that we live with. Love your blogs!
