It's Friday!

Today is Friday which means we are heading up to the log cabin! It is suppose to be in the mid 40's this weekend so I'm expecting some more snow to melt. My in-laws will be going to their cottage which isn't too far from us. I received an ominous call from my brother-in-law - he said to tell the the hubby and stepson to bring proper attire to play paintball in the woods. Ouch! (No, I will not be playing - I don't feel like being riddled with 20 different paint colors!)

I'm more into the silent sports - kayaking, hiking, birdwatching...

* I will catch up with you on Sunday. Sorry if I've missed your blog lately - It's been crazy around our house as I've been helping the hubby at his office as well as managing my own business. I promise to visit you soon!

I like your relaxing-looking porch and the silent sports, but would also like to throw in a dose of the paintball action :)

So what is it about brothers and paint ball fights? My brother and his boys (along with my son) love this? Nope, it's not my "thing" either! Men and their toys, right?

Have fun at the cabin!

Get them busy doing something constructive, rather than harassing the surrounding wildlife and coloring the trees with all those whizzing paint balls! :-)

Happy Spring!

Paintball sounds like such fun Shelley. You should do it! Does the paint stain? Have fun at the cabin. (Maybe Marvin will have something awaiting him when he returns to the city!)

Morning Shelly, Glad you came by and thanks for your kind words. Hope your weekend was "not full of bright paint colors" but a fun one just the same. It will be about 80 degrees here, so out to the flower beds and weeds. See you soon.

Thanks for the visit. Enjoy the visit at the cabin. I am heading up the lake today after over two weeks in Bellingham with my mother. It is going to be SO GOOD to get home. Maybe I'll do the same as you. A little easy kayaking in Mr. Blue, some reading and hopefully some bird watching. - Margy

Your bird photos are always so crisp and beautiful! I know, I know. I say that all the time. But they are. Looks like with the snow on it's way out, you are entering prime log cabin season! (If you ignore the mud, LOL.)

Thank you everyone for your visit & Comments!

Caroline - I have a cat carrier and take the cat with us everytime we go up - it's about a 3 hour drive and he does very well!

Grammy - I do both! Sometimes I pre-bake some treats! :)

Thanks for taking the time to come to grannymountain. When I came back to post I found your other two blogs. We built our home on the side of this mountain nearly 4 years ago. Not log but we used Stitt Energy Systems to build it totally green and are reaping the rewards in low utility bills. The best part is and always has been the nature that we live with. Love your blogs!
